Robert O’Hare | Affirm
Robert O’Hare has been named CFO of buy now, pay later solutions company Affirm, effective Nov. 8. The company’s current CFO, Michael Linford, will take on the chief operating officer position. O’Hare has been with Affirm for nearly four and a half years, previously serving a short stint as CFO of Tile, nearly five years as CFO at Spark Networks and just over two years in a finance and strategy role at Square.
Mark Partin | BlackLine
Technology provider BlackLine has announced the succession plan for current CFO Mark Partin, who will retire on March 1 after nearly a decade with the company. He will be replaced by current chief accounting officer Patrick Villanova. Partin’s successor joined BlackLine in 2015 after spending 16 years at PwC in various roles.
Anand Gandhi | Eventbrite
Event and ticket management platform Eventbrite has hired Anand Gandhi as its new CFO, effective Nov. 19. Lanny Baker, Gandhi’s predecessor, will assume the chief operating officer position. Previously, Gandhi served as CFO at travel expense management platform Viator for almost three years. Before that, he was CFO of Skillshare and has also held financial and strategic leadership roles at companies including The Walt Disney Company, 21st Century Fox, Viacom and Time.
Jarrod Yahes | Unity
Gaming and app development platform Unity has hired Jarrod Yahes as its new CFO, effective Jan. 1. He currently serves as CFO of Shutterstock and previously held CFO roles at Zeta Global and Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, as well as spent a decade at EXL working in multiple finance roles.
Matthew Moore | Vice Media
News and documentary producer Vice Media has hired Matt Moore as its new group CFO. Vice Media had a rough start to 2024, collapsing and filing for bankruptcy. As of April 2024, Vice Media is split into four major departments: Vice Studios Group, Vice TV, Virtue and Vice Digital. Moore will oversee all financial operations. Prior to taking the role, he held leadership positions at Product Madness, Groupon and Hobbycraft.
Ian Eckert | Natural Gas Services Group
Natural Gas Services Group, a manufacturer of natural gas compressors for oil and gas production facilities, has appointed Ian Eckert as its new CFO, effective in January. Eckert will succeed interim CFO John Bittner. Before this position, he served as chief accounting officer at Alamo Group, vice president and controller of electron microscopy technologies at AMETEK and spent nearly eight years in various roles at Howmet Aerospace.
Michael Zonsius | Albany International Airport
Albany International Airport CFO Michael Zonsius has been placed on leave following a coworker’s complaint and board concerns about his performance, specifically regarding procurement procedures and unauthorized fund use without board input. This follows former CEO Phil Calderone’s dismissal in September amid similar leadership controversies.
Caroline Goulian | Reitmans Canada
Canadian apparel group Reitmans Canada Limited (RCL) has promoted Caroline Goulian to CFO. She has been with the company for nearly five years. Goulian briefly left RCL in early 2018 for a director of finance IT and corporate services role at SNC-Lavalin, returning to RCL in 2020 as vice president of FP&A and later promoted to senior vice president of FP&A in April.
Todd Dissinger | Natural Grocers
Organic grocery chain Natural Grocers has announced the retirement of CFO Todd Dissinger. Richard Hallé has been named interim CFO and is also a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal in its CFO services division. Hallé has experience working with Natural Grocers, and has resigned from the company’s board of directors, audit committee and compensation committee.
Abhey Lamba | RingCentral
Digital telecommunications provider RingCentral has named Abhey Lamba as its new finance chief, effective “in the coming weeks.” Most recently, Lamba served as vice president of finance at Amazon Web Services’ Infrastructure division. He has also been senior vice president of finance and CFO of customer experience and operations at Cisco, vice president of go-to-market finance at Autodesk and a managing director at Mizuho Securities USA.
Paul C. Barrett | City of Cleveland
The City of Cleveland, Ohio’s Mayor Justin M. Bibb has announced Paul C. Barrett as the city’s new CFO. Barrett will replace James Hartley, who has served as interim director since former CFO Ahmed Abonamah resigned in July to become CFO of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Barrett has worked in Jacksonville, Florida’s finance department since 2015, most recently as the city’s treasurer. Barrett’s scheduled start date is Nov. 12.
