
Lisa Banks | Abnormal Security
Lisa Banks was appointed finance chief of AI-powered email security platform Abnormal Security as the company prepares for an IPO. Banks most recently was chief financial officer of restaurant payments startup SpotOn, where she joined in Jan. 2022 after spending seven years at ServiceNow. During her time at ServiceNow, Banks held several positions including as senior vice president of finance. She earlier held finance roles at various technology and financial service providers, such as Cisco, MarketWatch and Ernst and Young. Banks currently serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Dialpad.
Ivica Krolo | Birkenstock
German shoe company Birkenstock’s CFO Erik Massmann will step down on January 31 after two years in the role. Massmann will be succeeded by Ivica Krolo, who will join the company on Feb. 1. Krolo joins the company from investment firm EMH Partners, where he has been finance chief and partner since 2015. Before that, he was a certified public auditor and manager at accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on auditing and advising listed and mid-sized companies.

Thierry Piéton | Medtronic
Thierry Piéton was appointed chief financial officer of healthcare technology company Medtronic, effective March 3. Piéton joins the company from French car maker Renault Group, where he has been CFO since 2022. Piéton has worked in healthcare and other operationally focused manufacturing companies, including Nissan Motor Co., General Electric, GE Healthcare and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Piéton replaces interim CFO Gary Corona, who will become senior vice president of corporate finance and remain on Medtronic’s executive committee.

Duncan Minto | Renault Group
Duncan Minto will take over as finance chief of car maker Renault Group on March 1 to replace outgoing finance chief Thierry Piéton. Minto is currently chief financial officer of Renault Group sports car maker Alpine, a role he has held since Oct. 2023. Minto joined Renault in 1997 and has held several positions within the company, including CFO of its Dacia brand and vice president of investor relations.
Michael Hughes | Sonder Holdings
Sonder Holdings named Michael Hughes as chief financial officer of the hospitality company. Hughes was most recently finance chief of real estate investment trust Spirit Realty Capital, where he helped lead its $9.3 billion sale to Realty Income. Before that, he spent 11 years at FelCor Lodging Trust, a real estate investment trust focused on the upper-upscale sector in the hospitality industry, where he was CFO and executive vice president. He earlier held roles within the finance department of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, including vice president of corporate finance.

Grace Liu | Nav
Grace Liu was named chief financial officer of Nav, a financial health platform for small businesses. Liu has over 20 years of experience in finance leadership and investment banking, including in her last role as CFO of Tango. Earlier roles included, head of finance for North America at Afterpay and senior director of finance at Lending Club. She started her career at J.P. Morgan as an investment banking analyst for its telecom, media and technology industry group.
Alfredo Rivera | Wizeline
AI-native product engineering company Wizeline promoted Alfredo Rivera to chief financial officer. Rivera joined the company in June 2023 as senior director of FP&A and corporate finance and has been interim CFO for the past eight months. Before that, he was senior manager of financial planning and analysis and corporate finance at the SaaS data protection platform OwnBackup. He was earlier an investment banking associate at Citigroup and an investment banking analyst at UBS.
Brian Weisberg | The Suite
The Suite, an invite-only CFO leadership organization, hired Brian Weisberg as chief financial officer. Weisberg has been the finance chief of Tidelift since 2018. Earlier roles included vice president of finance at Code Climate, vice president of finance and operations at Anchore and finance director at Ansible by Red Hat.
