
Fernando Fernandez | Unilever
Unilever CFO Fernando Fernandez will become chief executive officer of the consumer goods company on March 1. Fernandez replaces Hein Schumacher, who will step down after less than two years as CEO. Fernandez, who has worked at the company for over 37 years, was president of Unilever’s beauty and well-being businesses before becoming CFO in January 2024. While the company looks for Fernandez’s successor, Srinivas Phatak, currently Unilever’s deputy chief financial officer and group controller, will become acting CFO. Phatak has previously held global and local senior finance, strategy and supply chain roles including as CFO of Hindustan Unilever Limited.
Jochen Breckner | Porsche
Luxury automaker Porsche ended CFO Lutz Meschke’s contract early and replaced him with Jochen Breckner, effective Feb. 26. Meschke leaves the company after 24 years. Breckner has worked at the company since 2000 and most recently headed Porsche AG’s overseas and emerging markets region. His earlier roles included heading the company’s general secretariat and corporate development and head of controlling for sales, marketing and financial services.

Jamie Miller | PayPal
PayPal CFO Jamie Miller will take on the additional role of chief operating officer. Miller joined the online payments platform in November 2023. Before that, she was global CFO of accounting firm EY, which she resigned from after six months once the firm canceled its plan to spin off its consulting business, which Miller was planning to lead. She earlier worked at agricultural company Cargill, where she was the company’s first female chief financial officer. Before that, she worked at General Electric for 12 years in several leadership roles, most recently as CFO.
Ahmed Moghal | Baker Hughes
Baker Hughes promoted Ahmed Moghal to finance chief of the energy technology company. Moghal has been CFO and senior vice president of the industrial and energy technology business of Baker Hughes since 2023. Before that, he was the FP&A leader at the time of the merger of Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas in 2017. He started his career at GE in its financial management program. Moghal succeeds Nancy Buese, who stepped down as CFO. Buese will become a strategic adviser to the company before she leaves on April 30.

Jessica Holscott | Nielsen
Jessica Holscott was appointed chief financial officer of Nielsen, a media audience insights, data, and analytics firm. Holscott was most recently CFO of Spotter, a platform for creators and brands. She earlier was finance chief and EVP of Warner Media, where she oversaw finance and strategic decisions across Warner Bros., HBO and the Turner Networks. Previous roles include CFO and EVP for HBO and time as an investor relations lead for Time Warner and Aptiv. Holscott began her career at General Electric, where she held several roles including chief of staff to the vice chairman and CFO.
Lance Tucker | Jack in the Box
Jack in the Box’s CFO Lance Tucker was appointed interim principal executive officer to replace CEO Darin Harris, who resigned for a new role outside of the restaurant industry. Tucker rejoined the company as chief financial officer on January 13, 2025. He previously held the same role at Jack in the Box from March 2018 to September 2020. While Tucker holds the role of interim principal executive officer, senior vice president and controller Dawn Hooper will become interim principal financial officer. Hooper has been with Jack in the Box for 24 years and held various senior finance leadership positions, including principal financial officer.

Elisa Palazzo | CarGurus
On March 7, Elisa Palazzo will step down as chief financial officer of CarGurus, an automotive research and shopping website. Palazzo joined CarGurus as finance chief in December 2023. She previously spent two years as deputy CFO and senior vice president of virtual mental health care platform Talkspace. Before that, she was a managing director at Hudson Executive Capital. Jason Trevisan, the company’s CEO, will work as its principal financial officer and principal accounting officer until it appoints Palazzo’s successor.
Chadwick Westlake | OpenText
OpenText, a company that provides information management solutions and services, named Chadwick Westlake as chief financial officer, effective March 5. Westlake was previously CFO of digital financial services company EQB. He previously held several positions at Scotiabank for over 18 years, including most recently as executive vice president of enterprise productivity and Canadian banking finance. Westlake succeeds Madhu Ranganathan, who has been with the company for almost 7 years.
