Derek Andersen | Expedia Group
Snap CFO Derek Andersen is leaving the company to take over as finance chief of travel booking company Expedia Group, effective May 11. Since May 2019, Andersen has been the chief financial officer of Snap, the owner of social media platform Snapchat. Before Snap, he held several finance leadership roles at Amazon, including vice president of finance supporting its digital video business. He also held senior roles at Fox Interactive Media, such as SVP of finance and business operations for IGN and vice president of finance. Andersen succeeds Scott Schenkel, who is stepping down as chief financial officer.
Doug Hott | Snap
Snap promoted Doug Hott to chief financial officer. Since July 2024, Hott has been vice president of finance, strategy and corporate development. He joined the company in August 2019 as vice president of finance. Hott earlier held financial leadership roles at Amazon, Prime Video and Procter & Gamble. Hott succeeds Derek Andersen, who is leaving to become the chief financial officer of Expedia Group. The CFO change comes a week after Snap cut 16% of its workforce, or about 1,000 employees. The company’s CEO, Evan Spiegel, cited that artificial intelligence efficiencies are helping employees reduce “repetitive work” and work faster.
Mesut Eken | Siemens USA
Siemens appointed Mesut Eken as chief financial officer of Siemens USA, effective Aug. 1. Eken’s career spans almost three decades of leadership within the technology conglomerate and the industrial sector. For the past two years, he has been CFO of its Motion Control Business Unit. Before that, he worked within Siemens corporate finance headquarters, where he led shareholder controlling and internal financial disclosure. Earlier in his career, he was CFO for Siemens Mobility’s Intelligent Traffic Systems business.
Miles Everson | Fermi
Fermi’s finance chief, Miles Everson, and its co-founder and chief executive officer, Toby Neugebauer, have stepped down from their roles at the AI data center company. Everson, who was also secretary of the company, will become a board director, and Neugebauer will step down as chairman but remain on the board. The company is evaluating a candidate for the interim CFO role and expects to announce the appointment in the coming week, according to the company’s SEC filing. The reshuffling of leadership at Fermi, which was co-founded by former Energy Secretary Rick Perry and went public in October 2025, comes amid recent struggles to build its AI data center in Texas known as Project Matador.
Tim Yarbrough | Checkr
Tim Yarbrough was appointed chief financial officer of background check company Checkr. Yarbrough has spent over 11 years at ZipRecruiter, most recently as finance chief. Earlier roles he held during his time at ZipRecruiter include chief business officer and SVP of finance. He was previously the director of finance at marketing analytics firm Convertro and manager of FP&A at Qualcomm. Checkr’s previous CFO, Naeem Ishaq, left the company in October 2025 to become president and chief financial officer of Collectors.
CJ Bhalla | Ascendiun
CJ Bhalla has been named chief financial officer at Blue Shield of California and its parent company Ascendiun, effective May 18. Bhalla has spent the last 20 years holding several finance leadership roles at the health care nonprofit Kaiser Permanente. Since April 2021, she has been the finance chief and senior vice president of integrated care and coverage. Bhalla succeeds interim CFO Kassie Maroney, who will remain with the company as chief actuary.
John Kaelle | Kikoff
Kikoff named John Kaelle as chief financial officer of the consumer fintech platform. Kaelle was most recently CFO of sneaker marketplace StockX, where he was its first finance chief. He has held chief financial officer positions at enterprise software company Mesosphere and B2B SaaS platform Marin Software, where he led its 2013 IPO. He previously held finance leadership roles for over seven years at Shutterfly, where he helped scale the business through its IPO in 2006. Earlier in his career, he worked in technology investment banking and public accounting.
Anna Maria Pellegrino | Montway Auto Transport
Montway Auto Transport appointed Anna Maria Pellegrino as finance chief of the third-party logistics brokerage. Pellegrino joins the company from aerosol product manufacturer PLZ Corp., where she has held finance leadership roles for over 10 years. She was most recently the senior vice president of FP&A and corporate development at PLZ. She previously held manager roles at water treatment company Culligan International, and before that, she was the finance manager at medical technology company Haemonetics.
