John Sauerland | Progressive
Progressive CFO John Sauerland will retire from the insurance company on July 3. Sauerland started at Progressive in 1990 as a summer intern and then became an assistant product manager in 1991. He has been its finance chief since 2015. Andrew Quigg, the company’s chief strategy officer, was named to succeed Sauerland. Quigg joined the company in 2007 and has held his current position since 2018. Before joining Progressive, he worked at Merrill Lynch, General Mills and McKinsey.
Tahnil Davis | Trade Desk
Advertising technology company Trade Desk appointed Tahnil Davis as interim CFO while the company starts an external search for a permanent chief financial officer. Davis has been with the company for nearly 11 years and is currently chief accounting officer. Davis replaces Alex Kayyal, who started the role just over five months ago. Kayyal’s employment as CFO, principal financial officer and principal accounting officer was terminated effective January 24, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He will remain a member of its board of directors through its 2026 annual shareholder meeting. Kayyal was appointed CFO in August 2025 when longtime company executive Laura Schenkein stepped down.
Frank Sluis | On
Frank Sluis will join athletics brand On as chief financial officer on May 1. For the last four years, Sluis has been CFO of Europe and Indonesia at food retail group Ahold Delhaize. Earlier financial leadership positions include group CFO of dairy and plant-based supplier Hoogwegt; SVP of finance North America at Reckitt Benckiser; and VP of finance and controller for Unilever Europe. He succeeds Martin Hoffmann, who took on an expanded role as CEO last year while continuing his CFO responsibilities. Hoffmann will continue to oversee the finance organization until Sluis starts later this year.
Stephen Stanton | Brunt Workwear
Work boots and apparel maker Brunt Workwear hired Stephen Stanton as CFO and chief operating officer. Stanton joins the company from ButcherBox, a meat delivery subscription brand, where he has been finance chief for over three years. Before that, he was executive director of finance at Athenahealth, where he played a key role in its sale to Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman. Earlier in his career, he spent 14 years at office supply retailer Staples in several leadership roles, including as CFO of its U.K. and Ireland division.
Tracy Farr | Lazard
Lazard promoted Tracy Farr to CFO, effective Feb. 1. Farr has been with the financial advisory and asset management firm for over 12 years, most recently as a managing director in its capital structure advisory group. Before joining Lazard, he was a CPA and consultant at EY and a researcher at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Farr succeeds Mary Ann Betsch, who will serve as a senior adviser. Betsch has been Lazard’s chief financial officer since joining in October 2022.
Christopher Papa | Americold
Temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics company Americold hired Christopher Papa as EVP and chief financial officer, effective Feb. 23. Papa currently holds the same roles at CenterPoint Properties, a developer, owner and manager of industrial real estate. He earlier held chief financial officer roles at Post Properties and Liberty Property Trust. Papa succeeds Jay Wells, who has left the company after serving as CFO since January 2024. During the transition period, Scott Henderson, the company’s chief investment officer, will serve as interim CFO until Papa’s appointment becomes effective.
Josh Jepsen | Honeywell Aerospace
Josh Jepsen was named chief financial officer of Honeywell Aerospace, Honeywell International’s aerospace spinoff, effective Feb. 23. Jepsen has been senior vice president and CFO of farm machinery and industrial equipment manufacturer John Deere since September 2022. Jepsen began his career at Deere in 1999 as an intern and later held several financial leadership positions, including as director of investor relations and deputy CFO.
Greg Hamm | Limoneira
Limoneira promoted Greg Hamm to chief financial officer of the lemon grower. Hamm joined the company in 2004 as its corporate controller and took on the additional role of vice president in 2008. Hamm replaces Mark Palamountain, who is stepping down. Palamountain, who has been CFO since 2018, will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to help with the transition.
