Donny Lau | Dollar General
Dollar General hired Donny Lau as chief financial officer, effective Oct. 20. Lau previously worked at the retailer from 2017 to 2023, and then became the CFO of fast casual restaurant chain Zaxby’s Franchising. During his earlier tenure at Dollar General, he held several positions within its finance department, including senior vice president of finance and chief strategy officer. Lau earlier held various financial planning, investor relations and corporate strategy roles with Yum! Brands for over six years, and he was also vice president of investment banking at Morgan Keegan & Company. Lau replaces Kelly Dilts, who is leaving on Aug. 28 to become CFO of department store chain Nordstrom. Until Lau joins, Dollar General’s CEO, Todd Vasos, will serve as principal financial officer.

Matt Anderson | Strava
Matt Anderson will join fitness tracking app Strava as its new CFO next month. Anderson has worked at Nextdoor, a social network for neighborhood communities, since July 2019. He was promoted to chief financial officer of Nextdoor in November 2023 and helped guide it through its public listing. He earlier spent six years as the head of corporate finance and strategy at Block (formerly Square) and led its 2015 IPO. Anderson gained private equity and investment banking experience earlier in his career at GI Partners and Barclays. Anderson succeeds Lily Yang, who stepped down as finance chief last month and transitioned into an adviser role.
Brad Delco | J.B. Hunt Transport Services
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, a supply chain solutions provider, has named Brad Delco CFO and executive vice president of finance, effective Sept. 1. Delco joined the company in 2019 and most recently served as senior vice president of finance, where he led investor relations, corporate development, financial planning and analysis and environmental social and governance strategy. Before joining J.B. Hunt, he spent 14 years at Stephens Inc. in corporate finance and equity research focusing on the transportation industry.
Neal Bronzo | Kendra Scott
Three top executives at Kendra Scott have departed from the jewelry company, including CEO Tom Nolan, finance chief Jason Friesen and chief people officer Danielle Stewart. Friesen served as CFO for the past five years and previously held CFO roles at Childcare Network, a child care company, and Help at Home, a home health care organization. Neal Bronzo will replace Friesen as the interim CFO-COO. Founder Kendra Scott will return as interim CFO, and former leadership team member Beth Ley will return as CPO. Bronzo, who joined Kendra Scott in 2021 as chief information officer, also served as interim CFO from 2022 to 2023. He previously held CIO positions at Aramark and PepsiCo.

Neil Thomson | Soho House
Soho House, a high-end members’ club operator, appointed Neil Thomson as its new finance chief, effective Aug. 18. Thomson was most recently the chief financial officer of Tasty Restaurant Group, a franchisee of quick-service restaurants that include Burger King, Dunkin’ and KFC. Before that, he was CFO of steakhouse restaurant chain Del Frisco’s. Thomson held senior management roles for 15 years at Yum! Brands, including CFO of India, chief development officer of Pizza Hut International and chief growth officer of Pizza Hut Asia. He replaces Thomas Allen, who will stay with the company through Aug. 29. Thomson’s appointment coincides with the company’s agreement to go private in a $2.7 billion deal led by MCR Hotels. Soho House, which went public in 2021, also named actor and tech investor Ashton Kutcher to its board.
Matthew Brown | Tenable
Cyber exposure company Tenable appointed Matthew Brown as its new chief financial officer. Since January 2021, Brown has been CFO of Altair Engineering, where he helped lead its sale to Siemens for $10.7 billion. Earlier roles include interim CFO of NortonLifeLock; vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer of Symantec; and senior director, assistant controller of Netgear. Brown succeeds Steve Vintz, who was recently appointed co-chief executive officer of the company alongside Mark Thurmond.

Donna Wilson | QinetiQ US
Defense and national security company QinetiQ US appointed Donna Wilson as finance chief. Wilson has over 30 years of leadership experience in federal government contracting and international markets, including most recently as CFO at Top Aces. She was previously chief financial officer of global technology, defense and engineering group ST Engineering iDirect. Earlier in her career, she worked at Unisys Federal Systems, where she held several financial leadership positions over 15 years, including as CFO of its Homeland Security division.
Gary Hobart | Mach Industries
Gary Hobart was named chief financial officer of defense manufacturing company Mach Industries. Hobart most recently was CFO and chief transformation officer of Terran Orbital, a manufacturer of small satellites for defense and intelligence applications. Under his leadership at Terran Orbital, he led its public listing in March 2022 and sale to Lockheed Martin in October 2024. Hobart earlier spent 16 years at Beach Point Capital Management, most recently as managing director, and was an investment banker at Wasserstein Perella & Co.
