
Raja Akram | Deutsche Bank
Raja Akram has been appointed CFO of Deutsche Bank, succeeding James von Moltke. Von Moltke, whose contract expires in June 2026, has occupied the top finance position since 2017 and was named president in 2022. Akram will join the bank on October 1, 2025, become a member of its management board on January 1, 2026 and assume the CFO role after a transition period. He comes from Morgan Stanley, where he has been deputy CFO since 2020. Before that, he held finance leadership roles at Citigroup and also served as chief accounting officer and global controller.
Jacqui Cartin | Sage
British software company Sage appointed Jacqui Cartin as chief financial officer to succeed Jonathan Howell, who will leave the company on December 31. Howell, who has spent the last seven years as finance chief, is stepping down to focus on non-executive work. Cartin is currently Sage’s EVP group financial controller. She has held several finance leadership positions within the firm since joining from KPMG in 2018.

Laura Anderson | Chicago Bears
Laura Anderson was named finance chief and senior vice president of administration for the Chicago Bears. Anderson joins the NFL team from the college athletic association Big Ten Conference, where she worked for six years, most recently as CFO and treasurer. Before the Big Ten Conference, Anderson was a senior financial adviser at ESI Consultants, where she led the internal operations of the firm. Anderson started her career at Arthur Andersen as an audit consultant.
Mark Ortiz | dLocal
dLocal’s chief financial officer, Mark Ortiz, is stepping down from his role “due to an unforeseen health issue that requires attention.” Ortiz, who joined the cross-border payments platform in April 2024, previously held CFO roles at global student housing operator Yugo and Global Student Accommodation, a real estate asset manager for student housing. dLocal appointed its current vice president of finance, Jeffrey Brown, as interim CFO while it looks for a permanent replacement for Ortiz. Brown previously held leadership roles at Bank of America, RPX and more recently as CFO of Geopagos.

Jenny Fuss | Crowley
Jenny Fuss was appointed chief financial officer of Crowley, a maritime, energy and logistics solutions company. Fuss was previously CFO of mining services and equipment company Boart Longyear, where she facilitated a financial restructuring during its transition into a private company. Before that, Fuss was divisional CFO and later vice president of global financial services and systems at power management company Eaton. She started her career at Siemens, where she worked for 20 years in various financial roles, including vice president of finance and CFO of its vehicle and eMobility segments.
Lucy Rutishauser | Sinclair
Lucy Rutishauser, chief financial officer and executive VP of broadcast television company Sinclair, will retire once her successor is appointed. Rutishauser, who has worked at the media company for over 27 years and has been the finance chief since 2017, will become a senior adviser to the company after her retirement. Earlier roles during her tenure include treasurer, head of investor relations and senior vice president of corporate finance.

Caswell L. Samms III | Nemours Children’s Health
Nemours Children’s Health hired Caswell L. Samms III as the pediatric health system’s new CFO. Most recently, Samms was chief financial officer and senior vice president at St. Joseph’s Health. Before that, he was chief financial officer of WellStar Health System. Earlier roles include network chief financial officer (Lincoln Hospital & Harlem Hospital) at NYC Health + Hospitals. He succeeds Rodney McKendree, who retired in February.
David Chan | Argo Group
David Chan was promoted to chief financial officer of specialty insurance underwriter Argo Group. Chan has been the company’s chief accounting officer since 2022, and he previously held senior roles at AmTrust Financial Services, Moody’s Investor Services and PwC. Chan replaces Chris Donahue, who was promoted to chief executive officer. Donahue, who joined the company in November 2023 as CFO, succeeds Jessica Buss.
Alison Engel | Spire Global
Spire Global, a space-based data, analytics and space services provider, appointed Alison Engel as its new finance chief, effective April 1. Engel most recently was CFO of lease management software provider LeaseAccelerator. She earlier held the chief financial officer and treasurer roles at media company Gannet and media holding company DallasNews. She succeeds interim CFO Thomas Krywe, who will remain as an executive advisor through April.
