
Sabrina Simmons | Petco
Pet store chain Petco appointed Sabrina Simmons as finance chief. Simmons was previously chief financial officer of clothing retailer Gap for almost 10 years until 2017. Before that, she was CFO and an executive member of the board of directors of British genetics company Sygen International and was assistant treasurer at clothing company Levi Strauss & Co. Simmons has been a member of Petco’s Board of Directors and audit chair since 2021. Simmons succeeds Brian LaRose, who held the role for more than three years. LaRose will remain with the company in an advisory role until April 30.
Arvind Balan | Wood Group
U.K. oilfield services and engineering firm Wood Group’s CFO Arvind Balan resigned after giving an incorrect description of his professional qualifications in public statements. Balan said he made an “honest oversight” in describing himself as a chartered accountant instead of a certified practicing accountant. Balan joined Wood Group as CFO in April 2024 from Rolls-Royce, where he spent two years as chief financial officer of its civil aerospace business. He previously worked at Shell in several executive financial leadership roles over 14 years across the U.K., Singapore and China.
Gabi Bressack Gantus | Mytra
Mytra, a warehouse robotics automation company, named Gabi Bressack Gantus as its first finance chief. Gantus has spent the last 12 years at Tesla, most recently as director of finance and business operations. Earlier roles at Tesla include senior manager of business operations and finance lead. Before that, she held analyst roles at Primus Asset Management and Berkshire Capital Securities.

Matthew Holt | Heritage Grocers
Ethnic grocery store operator Heritage Grocers promoted its chief accounting officer, Matthew Holt, to finance chief. Holt joined Heritage Grocers’ Cardenas Markets banner in 2019 as its CFO and later became interim CFO of Heritage. He previously was a finance executive with over 20 years of experience at Kroger corporate and division offices, including roles in finance, operations and chief financial officer and controller for two supermarket divisions. Holt succeeds Darren Karst, who became CFO in April 2023 and retired on Feb. 14.
Luca Barile | Gildan
Luca Barile was promoted to chief financial officer and executive vice president of basic apparel manufacturer Gildan, effective March 1. Barile, who is currently the company’s CFO of sales, marketing and distribution, will succeed Rhodri Harries. Harries, who is also executive vice president and chief administration officer, will retire on Jan. 1, 2026. Harries will retain his chief administrator officer role until his retirement. Barile joined Gildan in 2012 and he held several roles in financial planning and analysis, internal audit and enterprise risk management before being promoted to his current role in 2023.

Sara Dickinson | Boldyn Networks
Boldyn Networks hired Sara Dickinson as the shared network infrastructure provider’s group CFO. Dickinson joins Boldyn from BSI, where she was its group CFO for the past three years. Before BSI, she spent five years at Expedia Group in senior finance roles, including senior vice president of finance and CFO for its B2B division. Earlier experience includes senior executive roles at Costa Coffee and Sage. Dickinson succeeds Stephen Matthews, who is leaving the company after almost 11 years.

Megan Murray | BrainPOP
Megan Murray was appointed chief financial officer of the education technology company BrainPOP. For the last nine years, Murray has worked at financial planning software provider eMoney Advisor where she held both the chief operating officer and CFO roles. Before that, she spent over 14 years at Fidelity Investments as its vice president of finance.

Steven Berns | FLYR
Travel technology company FLYR named Steven Berns as finance chief. Berns was previously CFO and chief operating officer at ad technology platform TripleLift and stock photography provider Shutterstock. He earlier held executive leadership roles at Revlon, Tribune Publishing and Tribune Media, which he also helped lead through IPOs. Berns is currently on the Board of Directors and is the chair of the audit committee of Tradeweb Markets.
